Tiff’s Quote of the day: The weekend is to a diet what the winter is to a tan.
Think about it. This incredibly insightful quote can be understood in different ways. When I thought of it, my intention was this: You work so hard all summer to get the perfect golden tan and then two weeks of not basking in the sun and you are all of a sudden rid of any tan lines. What the heck?! So what I am saying is that you work hard Monday through Thursday (I am not even going to try and claim Friday as a ‘being good’ day) and come Saturday your belly is a little more swollen and you wheeze going up the stairs. I can proudly say that Scotty and I have been in a work-out frenzy the past two weeks. For me this means 5 to 6 days of 45 minutes of cardio. I am just trying to allow myself to eat my burritos and consume my margaritas without feeling completely guilty. Anyway, come Saturday morning I always feel a little lethargic and wanted to see if anyone else was feeling my strife.
Either way, the moral of my story is that we must not cut out the things that make us happy. We will never be captured on the front of US Weekly or asked to interview for People’s Most 100 Most Beautiful People edition. All we can hope for is our happiness and health. Cheers to being young and in a shape (notice I did not say in shape, I only claim to be in a shape!) Love what you have!!
P.S. This is an extremely old pic and NO I never fit in these jeans- they are Scotty’s! This is post- 4:40 AM workout! :o)
