Makin’ a Buck

I have never doubted my husband’s talents. I have, however, wondered when his ‘skills’ would really pay off. Sure he has a well paying job. Sure we have the best toys on the block. Sure we have some debt keeping on top of the toys thing. Well as our friends and family know, I got a little crazy and threw Scotty’s first iPhone in the ocean. Ok, it was an accident. It was cooling down in the towel while on the boat and I forgot and fanned the towel out so I could neatly fold it and put it away. Either way, he managed to not even see where I threw it and immediately jumped into the ocean and somehow grabbed it as it sunk it’s way to the ocean floor. Well here we are nearly a year later and it finally paid off to keep that iPhone in the closet. I should briefly mention that when we got the new iPhone bedside radio Scotty thought it would be a good idea to plug in the dead iPhone to see if it could grab a charge. A large pop and scream later, we killed the radio and still had a dead iPhone. Apple is great for many reasons, but even more awesome because they took back the radio and exchanged it without question. Anyway, back to the iPhone discrepancy. Scotty, an official Apple entrepreneur, found out that Apple is exchanging water damaged iPhones at cost. Rather than pay for a new phone ($500) they are giving refurbished ones for $200. While at first glance it might appear that we would still be spending $200- spending more money. Nope, not when you sell it on Ebay for full cost!! So here we are, just purchased our official 4th iPhone. Currently my brainy husband is stripping the new phone and preparing to sell it on Ebay for hopefully a profit! Economic crisis, says who?!
