While Scotty is out of town I usually enjoy at least the first day or two fixing up the house and enjoying the calmness of everything. Well be-still my heart, this time around the pugs are also away! Love having grandparents in town! We have the local grandparents that help with the daily task of walking the kids while Scotty and I are at work. We have the next-town-over grandparents that house the pugs more long-term. We went to see my parents last weekend for belated Mom’s Day and belated Scotty’s birthday. Rather than bringing the pugs back up before our trip, my mom so sweetly suggested we just leave them for the week. Little did she know…..ha! Here I sit, with my glass of white whine watching my reality TV with my feet up and candles lit. Scotty is on his way back tomorrow so I at least enjoyed two nights sleeping diagonal on the Cal King bed (though Scotty might say I sleep this way regardless of his presence in the bed). All I know is that I much rather prefer the mess of my husband to a quiet, clean house, but if he must go on a business trip I might as well look on the bright side!
