OK, let’s first explain the title: Donde esta mi esposo? Let me first say that my computer does not allow me to include accents and up-side-down question marks so the title is therefor not gramatically correct. Lately I have been devoting one hour per day to Rosetta Stone. Let me tell you, now that they have covered numbers and letters I am getting lost! Part of the program asks that I speak into a microphone (which is attached to my headphones, and yes, I am aware of how cute it makes me look!). Anyway, the program does not like the way I role my rrrr’s or accentuate my vowels. That is besides the point for today’s blog BTW!!
Every day Scotty comes home at exactly 4:30. It is weird, it is strange, but I accept it! Every single day the garage door opens at 4:30 and the dogs go nuts and I scramble to make Happy Hour look just-right! Well since the economy has taken a downward spiral nothing has really changed for us… BUT I would like to start making little changes. So, I decided to make date night at home this Friday evening. I began with our favorite cocktail and mini pizzas (yes, probably only my favorite!) and some crackers and cheese (yes, definitely his favorite). Well 4:30 comes and goes and a few minipizzas are devoured by me. 4:45 quickly approaches and I start to panic. I call multiple times, leave messages, and text. at 4:47 he calls and says he has been in a meeting that went hours longer than expected but that he was on his way home. I immediately accommodate: 1. Cocktail in the fridge 2. Minipizzas back in the oven on a plate to stay hot 3. cheeses back in the fridge 4. my cocktail moved from the happy hour location to closer to my vicinity as I wait patiently. Scotty apologized, unnecessarily, and rushed home. The minipizzas stayed warm (not sure how) and he of course loved the cheese and crackers. We ended our night with carne esada and beans, a personal fav!
Moral of the Blog: work late honey if it means billable hours!
