On baby duty days we have to be creative with the two kids. Whether it’s a walk to the park at the beach or playing out in the drive way, we know we have to keep these babies active. Around this time last year we could just prop the kids up and move around getting random little chores done. Now our little ones require daily outings! One of my favorite things to do is open the front door and follow the kids around the complex. Eli usually takes off running and Kayden tries her best to keep up. Unfortunately, walking only sounds like a good idea when we are still at home! After about 5 minutes of walking, Miss Kayden is tapped out. She will stop immediately in her tracks and refuse to go any further. She will begin screaming and saying ‘Uppy You! Uppy You!” (She’s got her pronouns all messed up!) I try to keep walking and say “Mommy’s going bye bye!” To which the pitch of her scream gets elevated, face turns red, and feet start stomping! I cave every time! When princess is done walking, she’s DONE walking! Unfortunately, I don’t have video of that episode (I’m not highly motivated to stop and pull out my phone to catch that on video!) Here are the kids on the start of one of our nature walks (It’s also an update that I sent to Maica, so excuse the narration!).
And here are the kids playing out in the drive way.
