While Jill has been out in California for the past 6 weeks she has routinely taken Kayden to the park nearly every morning to give me some quie timet (well, as quiet as it can get with a newborn!). Kayden and Nam have come home with some great stories and Kayden has been taking the best naps and sleeping late every morning due to being run so hard every day! They would swing on the sings, climb and go down the slide over and over again, and play with the different apparatuses around the park. They watched other kids and just shared some really special time together. I knew that when Nam went home that I would have to continue the early morning park trips. Kayden, Kloey, and I went to Holiday Park in Carlsbad the other day and had a great time. Unfortunately, there were no other kids there and running around with Kayden was tough with a stroller, but we managed to have a good time! There are some other parks around town that I can’t wait to try out!
Here are some of the highlights of Kayden’s trips to the park:
Another favorite past time for both Kayden and her father is swimming in our pool. Every day they splash around for a little while and have a great time together. Kayden is learning to go under water, blow bubbles, and walk around with confidence. I definitely think it’s time to start swimming lessons!
And now for a Kloey update. She is staying awake longer and longer each day. This has been great because she is sleeping really well at night, but it makes for a long day! Both kids rarely sleep at the same time, which means I am on all day. Kloey is starting her tummy time and she enjoys it about as much as Kayden did. I’m going to try and be better about making her do it each day though. She is a great baby and Kayden is still really tolerant of her and all the she brings to the table. 🙂
