Today we went for the girls’ check up and we are happy to say that both of our girls are reaching and exceeding milestones!! First up is Kloey!

Kloey is 6 months ‘old’ now and thriving to our greatest expectations! Kloey’s height is 26.25 inches, which is the 64th percentile. Her weight is 18 lbs 7 oz, which is the 86th percentile. Kloey’s head circumference is 44 cm, which is the 88th percentile. Kloey is developing on track and making some big changes! She smiles at toys, pictures, and the pugs when playing. She uses a string of vowels together and babbles back and forth with people she recognizes. Kloey reaches and grasps for objects out of reach and is practicing transferring these objects — and then putting said objects in her mouth! She turns her head for familiar voices and sounds and clearly recognizes people frequently in her world! Kloey would appear to be more advanced in the gross motor development than Kayden because she tolerates tummy time, rolls from her back to her tummy and her tummy to her back, and she rotates on her tummy to move around and explore. Kloey is on the fast track to becoming an inquisitive and mobile baby!

Kayden is 2.5 years ‘old’ and also making leaps and bounds in her developments. Kayden engages in pretend play (i.e. feeding/burping her baby), understands 2 or more ideas in a sentence (i.e. you can have a candy after your shower), and uses sentence structure. Kayden can name and identify body parts, stack objects, turn a door knob, and throw a ball overhand. Kayden can brush her teeth independently, jump up and down, and put on some articles of clothing. Kayden is meeting each and every milestone and making us proud each and every day!!

We are so happy that yet again we can confirm that our princesses are making the necessary growth spurts that are expected. Great job girlies!!
