The Hatcher Fam had a GREAT Easter this year. It was a two-day celebration and everyone was spoiled with treats, toys, and good ‘ol fashioned family time. Thanks first to Mimi and Gamp for hosting the family on Saturday and feeding us way too much and sending us off with some fun goodies. Thanks to Jer and Katrina for making the drive and risking traffic to come celebrate with us. We had fun catching up and playing with Bella. Not sure who was more into Bella – Kayden or Kloey. She was great with the girls. Thanks Uncle Nicky (aka Uncle Mickey to Kloey) also for making that drive. It is quite the haul to come down and we do appreciate you making the journey often to see the girls. 🙂
On Sunday we had our second celebration. We spent the day together, just the four of us and it was GREAT! We packed in many activities and enjoyed being together.. ALL day!
We started the day off with a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny who laid a trail from each of the girls’ rooms to their super special baskets. Kayden was feeling a little silly and decided to army crawl to her basket. Kloey, after sleeping in, was guided to her basket by Big Sister. Not sure she needed the help, but she got it anyway!
Next we went on a walk to the beach. The weather was beautiful so we took advantage. Kloey made her beach debut without shoes!! The few times she has been on the sand I either had to hold her the ENTIRE time or she was wearing shoes with socks tucked into her pants to ensure no skin touched the dreaded sand. This time she not only walked on the sand, but refused to be held. It might have taken us 10 minutes to reach the water, but it was worth it!!
Once we got home we had a backyard pool day! Again, the weather was nice so we took advantage. At one point, all four of us were sitting in the pool! We went snail hunting, trampoline jumping, and even did some gardening!!
We ended the day with a walk through the neighborhood. A nice and relaxing end to a great day. Hope everyone out there had a wonderful Easter as well!! 🙂
