This was a week of firsts for Kloey. On Monday she had her first dentist appointment. I have to say I had my reservations about this experience. Would she be compliant? Would she melt down? Would she even set foot in the office? And I’m proud to announce that she passed with flying colors!! When we got there (a little early, which can be problematic because she isn’t always very patient!), she played in the structure until it was her turn. She went with the hygienist and laid down willingly on the table to have her teeth looked at. It might have helped a little that there was a TV on the ceiling and she was wearing headphones to tune out the adults and tune in to the TV! She was fine with the multiple instruments going in and out of her mouth. She did absolutely amazing! Her teeth are healthy and she passed with flying colors!!

Kayden also had an appointment and had her first set of X-rays. She too passed with flying colors. Her teeth are healthy and beautiful!

Next up was hair cut time! I have been ‘encouraged’ lately to take Kloey for a ‘little trim’. I was always of the mind that she doesn’t get a hair cut until she gets real hair. The other day at the park I looked at her and her mismatched outfit, dirty face, and crazy hair and felt she looked a little too homeless for my liking. So I got on the phone and made an appointment for the next day. Again, I was a little apprehensive about the experience. But again, I knew this place was kid-centered and conveniently had a TV for each client! Another success, Kloey did perfect! The lady doing her hair was absolutely in love with Kloey. I think if I turned my back long enough, she might have walked off with her. She was so impressed with how still she sat and how willing she was to have her hair not only cut, but styled!! The pictures don’t truly show what her new cut looks like, but the lady kept calling it an ‘a-frame’ cut. She looks absolutely adorable!!
