So now that Kayden has been in school for two and a half weeks, Kloey and I have started to settle in to our new routine. On Mondays and Wednesdays she is continuing with swim lessons. We generally spend Monday doing chores to make up for the weekend and on Wednesdays we add in Ballet/Tap class, so those days are packed! On Tuesdays we have gymnastics and Thursdays are generally reserved for picnics at the park. On Friday, we’ll go do something fun with Mimi and then I run all of the errands I didn’t do during the week while Kloey goes to Mimi’s for a nap. Because what three year old wants to run errands all day with mom?? Not mine! So that’s our schedule! I have to say that I am genuinely enjoying my days with with just Kloey. I was a little weary about how Kloey and I would fill our days without the distraction of Kayden. They play together a lot and I was mentally preparing to become Kloey’s new BFF and have to play with her all day. But instead, I decided to fill her days with classes and activities, which she LOVES! That girl has so much personality, she takes over her ballet and gymnastics classes. She talks to the teachers while they are teaching the class. She runs her own swim lesson and she tells the teacher what they are going to work on and when. And when it’s just her and I, she sings, tells stories, asks questions, and talks. All. Day. Long. I can honestly say it is quite humorous to just sit and listen to her. For example, she will go into a full on story about a Bumble Bee she met at Nam’s. She’ll go into great details about the conversation she had with the Bee, where she was at, and she’ll recite dialogue (with intonation!) that she had with the Bee. I absolutely love it!! Now, once Kayden gets home I get a DOUBLE dose of talking. So we’re working on Mommy’s ability to hear and respond to two children at the SAME time. Working on it!!
