Things in the Hatcher Home have been a little quiet lately. I have enjoyed the week off with Kayden. It’s been nice too because Scotty works from home twice a week and on those days we took advantage of the sun and went out into the world. Here are some highlights:

Here is Kayden learning to play nice with Kooper. He is so awesome because he will let her pull his foot and he’ll even let her kick him when she is laying on her back. He is such a kind soul!!

Playtime with Nam.

Here is what Kayden really thinks of the bows Mommy puts in her hair. She did leave it on for a bit, which I couldn’t capture quick enough!

This week I am off for Spring Break. We decided that it was a beautiful day to take Kayden to the Wild Animal Park. Kayden had such a good time just being outdoors. We brought the Baby Bjorn back out from the closet and Kayden was strapped to Daddy’s chest for most of our outing. She loved watching all of the little kids run, scream, and bounce all around the park! We even took in a cheetah show! We got to see a 5 month old cheetah come out and perform for only its third audience. We also saw a 10 year old cheetah that was seasoned enough to come and walk among the audience. We learned that a cheetah can go from 0-40 miles per hour in just three strides! I wondered how the trainer was going to hold back that beast if he chose to take off?!  Either way, I felt secure in our 10 rows up! Kayden did such a great job during the show! She snacked on some cheerios and water! This Hatcher family had a wonderful day with so many wild animals!!

The past week or so we have had some beautiful weather. I love it because I can FINALLY put Kayen in her skirts and adorable onsies! She has hats and sunglasses that seem to match every outfit! Today Nam came over to finalize Kayden’s nursery. I have to say, the final product looks amazing! We had her nursery all put together at our other condo, but when we moved we never really seemed to find the time to do it. Between moving and this awesome weather, there was always something more fun to do than put re-do her nursery :). Thanks Nam and Auntie Kelly for coming over to finish the nursery and let Scotty and I go out on a much appreciated lunch date!!

Here are a bunch of sweet pictures of Kayden looking adorable!!

Kayden and Eli have been friends before they were even born. These perfect babes are learning, growing, and changing so quickly. Eli is a little bundle of energy. I swear he is the baby Hulk! Eli is so strong that if he doesn’t want his outfit or diaper changed, he is going to show you just how bad he doesn’t want these things to happen! He will roll over and pull himself anywhere but where you want him to be! 🙂 I am amazed at how strong Eli is! So it’s no surprise that Eli is rolling all over the place. At first he rolled back and forth because he was upset, now I love to watch him roll around to check out all of Kayden’s toys. Eli, you are such a sweet boy and I can already tell you will have so much energy to run your mommy’s tank empty! Don’t worry Eli, your daddy has more than enough energy to wear even you out!! 😉 Kayden, sweet Kayden! Kayden isn’t so interested in rolling around the room- it might mess up her hair! Kayden isn’t so intereted in crawling- it might scuff her knees. Kayden isn’t even interested in challenging Eli for the most coveted toy of the week- a $20 giraffe of all things!! But Kayden, you are such a sassy princess and you know just how to make us all bow to your every whim… Even Eli! Below is a hilarious video that Maica caught today of Kayden examining Eli while he so calmly and patiently let’s her do her thing! Thank you Maica for the daily videos that always make my day!

This weekend we had a lot of family time, but finally Scotty and I had the opportunity to go on a date Saturday afternoon. Uncle Jer and Auntie Katrina came down to see Kayden and they really wanted to babysit. We visited for about an hour and then Scotty and I went out on a lunch date. We also ran a few errands! I didn’t call once… but I will admit, I did check the Kayden cam during nap time and I saw my princess sleeping soundly. Scotty and I had a great afternoon. Thanks Uncle Jer and Auntie Katrina!

Here are a “few” pics Uncle Jer and Untie Katrina took during their visit!

On Sunday it was Addison’s 2nd birthday! I can’t believe she is two already! Kim had an Elmo birthday party that was absolutely awesome. Kim is a natural party planner. She thought of everything from a surprise visit from Elmo himself to tasty party favors for the guests. We all said we didn’t know how she found the time to do everything… something about not sleeping the night before! Great party Kim! Unfortunately Scotty forgot our camera so here are a few shots of the family before the party. Thanks Jer for sending me the pics!
