Maica had baby duty today and she got some pretty great videos of the babies doing what they do best… be cute! Eli is so close to crawling and Kayden, well she couldn’t care less. I am convinced that she is letting Eli learn to crawl and then when he can she will force him to go and get all of her favorite toys! Kayden is not in the least bit motivated to crawl and Eli is super motivated by any and all toys! I love to watch these little guys grow and develop! It’s so neat the watch and see how these kiddos are changing so quickly. Here are some sweet videos Maica sent me today to get me through my day at school! Thanks Maica!! Today I had baby duty and it seems that as the older the babies get, the easier the day goes! Today Eli brought over his cowboy boots so I saw an instant opportunity to put on Kayden’s pink Uggs (thanks Nam!). Yes they are huge, but they are oversized on purpose. Who wants a pair of Ugg boots that you’re going to grow out of in just a few weeks? Not Kayden! We requested Nam order a larger pair so that Kayden could enjoy them for a long time. Here are a few pics of playtime today with the babies.

Maybe Kayden will be motivated to roll over by watching Eli roll from front to back and back to front and repeat!!

Yesterday Eli and family came over to watch the SDSU game. After two overtimes, we came out victorious! I am an SDSU alumni and so is Scotty and Kris. Maica went to several schools, but SDSU isn’t one of them ;). She actually went to USD so that’s close enough for us! We had a great time watching the game and we thought it would be a great opportunity to get the kids in the bath together! Click on the images to see the full view.

Here is Kayden looking beautiful in her mariachi outfit! She looked beautiful for Grandma Mini’s funeral. She brought such a light to the day!

Kayden would like to wish you all a happy St. Patrick’s Day! Just like her mommy has dishtowels and table cloths for each holiday, Kayden has numerous outfits for every holiday (thanks Mimi!). We hope you all had a sip of green beer and a bowl of Irish stew… we had neither! 🙂

Kayden had her nine month check up today and she passed with flying colors!! She is a healthy baby who has the following stats:

Height= 89th percentile

* Taller than 89% of other babies her age

Weight= 89th percentile

No explanation needed 😉

Head circumference= 90th percentile

* She has a Hatcher head! Her head is bigger than 90% of other babies her age.

Here are some things that are going on in Kayden’s world:

– Playing: Kayden loves to play with household items such as wooden spoons, ear pieces, the remote control, iPhone, iPad, paper, etc. She loves things that light up and play music too- she’s even started dancing! Kayden will play by herself, but she prefers that Mommy be close by. She still uses her exersaucer, but doesn’t love it for very long.

[sthumbs=3047|3048|3049|3050|3051|3052,160,3,n,center,]

– Teeth: Kayden has 5 teeth and will soon have the sixth. She has her two bottom teeth, her two upper canine teeth, and one front tooth that’s coming in and out. Her other front tooth is on it’s way, but hasn’t broken the gum yet. She is handling the teething pretty well, I have to say!

-Milestones: Kayden can roll from belly to back. She still hates to be on her tummy- can you blame her with that head?! She is an excellent sitter! The doctor says as long as she is rolling and sitting that there is no concern that she isn’t crawling yet. She is not showing any motivation to start crawling. Although I wish she would start, I have heard more people say to cherish the days that the baby stays where you put her!

– Food: Kayden eats three meals a day and takes three bottles. She loves everything I give her! She especially loves baby yogurt! I asked the doctor about her intake and she said that she is eating the perfect amount and the rolls will fade as she starts moving. I happen to live my Michelin baby and all her rolls!! 🙂

All in all we are super blessed to have a beautiful, healthy, happy, and sweet baby girl! Here is Kayden enjoying some Cheerios for the first time!
