I keep waiting for something exciting to happen to blog about. Guess we had a boring month! Oh well, I’m not complaining! We filled our days with swimming, hitting up the local parks, the library, and more!! Here are a few pictures from July.

The 4th of July weekend was a whirlwind! We started our celebration on Friday with a family dinner at Mimi and Grampy’s house. On Saturday we started the day off with a morning bike ride with the neighborhood families. We biked from South Oceanside to the Harbor! We just got an attachment for my bike that hooks on the back for Kayden to sit on. It’s basically a tandom bike. So yeah, that was a load for me to carry all the way to the Harbor. The ride was probably a total of 8 miles round trip! Luckily, we practiced a few nights last week before the big trek. Kayden preferred to only use her pedals when going down hill and just look around at all of the sites while mommy pedaled up hill! No big deal, it’s why I work out, right?! After the bike ride everyone parted ways for lunch and nap time. The Sargents and the Deneau’s came over post naps for a little swimming and BBQ. We ended the day watching local fireworks. All in all, we had a great 4th! Hope yours was as fun as ours!

Last week the girls started ballet and tap. Kayden tried to do ballet last year, but wasn’t quite ready. So when I found a class for 3-5 year olds, I jumped on it because it meant her sister could join her. And perhaps make her feel more comfortable. The beginning of class was a little touch and go. Kayden was very uncomfortable because she wasn’t familiar with the teacher or other students. She gets very anxious when she doesn’t know what she is supposed to be doing or where she is supposed to be standing/sitting. This absolutely kills me. After a few minutes she warmed up and completed all of the tasks with ease. She was a very good listener and did as she was told. Kloey did great as well. She was more interested in following one of the other girls who was rolling around on the floor when she should be sitting or was fluttering around the room when she was to be standing in line. Kloey immediately found and latched on to the one child who tested the boundaries. My girls are complete opposite! I’m hoping that Kloey’s free spirit will sort of rub off on Kayden- but not too much! I need Kayden’s rule following to rub off on Kloey as well! 😉 Both girls did great and are super excited to go back again this week!

Summer is officially here and we’ve hit the ground running. We resumed swim lessons. We’ve been to all of the local parks. We’ve had picnics. We’ve been to the beach. We’ve done it all! Next week we start up dance class. Both girls will be in the same class. So that should be great for Kayden! 😉 The fun of summer has just begun. We are looking forward to the next two months and all of the fun things that we’ll be doing. Here are a few pictures to catch you up since the last post:

Happy Birthday to the most AMAZING five year old to ever exist. Ever!! On Saturday Kayden turned five and we had a day celebrating everything that is Kayden. We started the morning off with a bang! We opened presents and then headed out to our breakfast spot- Beach Break. We met Nam, Papa, and Auntie Jenny and we even had cake for dessert. Never put it past Nam to have cake after any of the three meals in the day!! Delish! After that we headed to Party City to get some essentials- namely a helium tank for Daddy. Because who doesn’t need their own helium tank? After a fun ride down the coast in the jeep, we headed home for lunch and naps. After naps we celebrated some more with the Peterson family. Kayden’s perfect ending to a perfect day! Love you lots little Miss!!
