Baby Classes

Welcome week 35!
Two more weeks and we are officially at full term. I can’t believe it! I still feel great. I’m sleeping through the night (I know, I know that will all change soon enough), no back problems, and I don’t think I’m too hormonal… though my husband might have a difference of opinion with the hormonal part! We did have an episode while I was feeding and him asking me if I was still hungry after the lunch he made me. But anyway he understood he was being “insensitive” by asking while my hand and mouth were full of Chex Mix.
So on Sunday we had part 1 of our 2 part (5 hours each) baby class. I almost let Scotty out of it, but then thought better of it after reading the description of the class. Basically the class was to help mentally prepare for labor and birth… and yes it included a video of an actual birth. I, of course, did not watch and decided to draw a picture on the course agenda instead. I think I learned some good info- like be terrified of birth because it can last a lifetime- but Scotty thinks it was a complete waste of time. I do agree, however, that a lot of the information was a waste and we could have gotten out of there in 1 hour instead of 4- we left early. So anyway I am now more scared of child birth than I was before and I lost half of my Sunday! I learned the placenta is a 2-pound liver look a like that I birth after the baby… can’t wait! So I think we’ll skip part 2 next week. I hope this baby comes with her own instructions!!
